PromoCodes.com.au is operated by Competitions Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Things you give us: your email address if you sign up for code alerts, and anything you include when you submit a code or contact us.
- Usage information: pages viewed, offers clicked, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Code feedback: when you tell us whether a code worked, we store your answer with a one-way hashed version of your IP address to stop repeat or automated votes.
You don't need an account to use the site.
How we use it
- To run the site, show accurate codes and remove ones that don't work.
- To send code alerts you've asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To prevent abuse and fraud.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember your preferences. When you click through to a store, the store or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to record that the visit came from us. Those cookies are covered by the store's and network's own privacy policies.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting, email delivery and analytics), when required by law, or with your consent. Some providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
