What PromoCodes.com.au Is

PromoCodes.com.au is an Australian site for promo codes, discount codes and store deals. Offers are organised by store, so a shopper looking for your codes lands on one page that shows what’s current for your brand. Codes are checked by people before they go up, and we don’t use fake “used 1,000 times today” counters.

The site is run by Competitions Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based team that has run Australian deal and competition sites since 2012, including Competitions.com.au. You can read more on our About page.

Straight up: we’re new

PromoCodes.com.au launched recently. We can’t promise you a set amount of traffic, sales or a particular Google ranking, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that your codes will be listed accurately, with the terms you give us, and taken down or updated when you ask.

Why List Your Codes at All?

Some store owners would rather their codes weren’t on coupon sites at all. That’s understandable — but shoppers search for codes either way. The real choice is whether they find a code you approved, or whatever happens to be floating around.

They’re already at checkout

A search for “[your brand] promo code” usually happens when someone has items in their cart and is about to pay. If they find a working code quickly, they come back and finish the order. If they don’t, some won’t come back.

You control what circulates

Leaked codes — staff codes, one-off customer service codes, old influencer codes — tend to spread when there’s nothing better to find. Giving shoppers an approved public code means fewer of them go hunting for the ones you’d rather keep private.

Your terms, shown clearly

Minimum spend, excluded brands, new customers only — we list the conditions you give us, so shoppers know what to expect before they reach checkout. That means fewer frustrated “your code doesn’t work” emails.

Dead codes come down

When you tell us a code has ended, we mark it expired. Shoppers can also tell us whether a code worked, and codes that keep failing are removed — so your store page doesn’t fill up with broken offers.

What to Send Us

Use our store listing form, or email [email protected] with the details below. There’s no account to create.

Detail Why we need it Example
Store name The name shoppers know you by, for your store page Example Homewares
Website Where the code is redeemed, and so we can check it examplehomewares.com.au
The code(s) Exactly as typed at checkout SPRING15
What it gives The headline offer shoppers see first 15% off full-priced items
Conditions Minimum spend, exclusions, new customers only, one per customer Min. spend $80; excludes sale items
Start and expiry dates So we show the code only while it works 1 Nov to 30 Nov 2026
Affiliate network (if any) So we can link through your program Commission Factory, Rakuten, Impact, Partnerize, Awin
A contact Who we ask if something changes or stops working marketing@ your domain

Examples are made up for illustration. Send whatever you have — if something’s missing, we’ll ask.

Tip: if you’re creating a new code specifically for listing, give it its own name rather than reusing your newsletter code. That way your store’s own reporting shows exactly how many orders came from it. On Shopify? Our step-by-step guide to creating a Shopify discount code covers limits, end dates and stacking.

How It Works, Step by Step

1

You send us your codes

Fill in the store listing form with the details above.

2

We check them

A person on our team reads the terms and checks the code against your site where we can. If anything is unclear — say, whether sale items are excluded — we’ll ask before publishing.

3

Your store page goes live (or gets updated)

If you don’t have a page yet, we create one. Your codes appear there, and in relevant category listings across the site.

4

You send updates whenever things change

New code for EOFY? Code ended early? Just email us and we’ll update the page.

How Your Codes Are Displayed

On your store page

Each store has its own page listing its current codes and deals. Every offer shows a headline, whether it’s a code or a deal, and when it was added. Shoppers click Show code to reveal it and head to your site.

Verification

Codes we’ve confirmed carry a Verified label. Shoppers can also tell us whether a code worked for them, and that feedback is shown alongside the offer.

Expiry dates

Where we know the end date, it’s shown on the offer (“Ends 30 Nov”), so shoppers aren’t surprised and you aren’t fielding complaints about an expired code.

Expired codes kept as history

Expired codes move to a collapsed “recently expired” section at the bottom of your page, clearly marked and greyed out. They can’t be revealed as live codes, but shoppers can see what kinds of offers you’ve run before.

Codes you didn’t send us

We also list offers stores publish themselves (on their sites, in newsletters and sale announcements) and codes shoppers submit, which we check first. If one of your codes is listed and shouldn’t be — a staff code, a private customer code, or anything not meant for the public — email us and we’ll take it down.

Exclusive and Influencer Codes

Exclusive codes

An exclusive code is one you create just for PromoCodes.com.au shoppers — for example PROMOCODES10. Because it’s unique to us, you can see in your own store reports exactly how many orders it drove, without relying on our numbers.

It doesn’t need to be bigger than your other offers. A matching offer with its own name is still useful for measurement. If you’d like to set one up, mention it in your email.

Influencer and partner codes

Influencer codes often end up on coupon sites whether you like it or not. Tell us how you want them handled:

  • Happy for them to be public? We’ll list them with the right terms.
  • Want them kept to the creator’s audience? Let us know and we won’t list them — send us an approved public code instead.

Is It Really Free? And How Do Affiliates Fit In?

Yes. Listing your codes on PromoCodes.com.au costs nothing, and you don’t need an affiliate program to be listed. Here’s how the money side works:

Your situation Can you be listed? What happens
No affiliate program Yes, free We list your codes and link to your site. No fees either way.
On an affiliate network Yes, free Tell us the network. If we’re approved for your program, we may earn the commission you already pay affiliates when a shopper buys.
Want a featured spot Ask us If a store ever pays for a featured position, it’s clearly labelled as sponsored.

Commissions never decide whether a code gets listed, or whether we tell shoppers a code has stopped working. Our How We Make Money page sets this out in full.

If your program restricts coupon sites

Some affiliate programs have rules about coupon or voucher sites — for example, only listing codes supplied through the program. Let us know your program’s terms and we’ll follow them.

Listing Your Codes — FAQs

Does it cost anything to list my codes?

No. Listing is free, with or without an affiliate program. If you’re on an affiliate network and we’re approved for your program, we may earn a standard commission on sales — the same arrangement you already have with your other affiliates.

How much traffic will I get?

We honestly can’t say. PromoCodes.com.au is a new site, and traffic depends on how many people search for your brand and how the site ranks over time. We won’t quote you numbers we can’t back up. An exclusive code is the simplest way to measure what the listing does for you.

Can I ask you to remove a code?

Yes. If a code has ended early, was never meant to be public, or belongs to a creator who wants it kept private, email [email protected] and we’ll take it down or mark it expired.

Do I need to be on Commission Factory, Rakuten or another network?

No. Plenty of stores we list don’t pay us anything. If you are on a network such as Commission Factory, Rakuten, Impact, Partnerize or Awin, tell us so we can link through your program and follow its rules.

Can I list deals that don’t need a code?

Yes. Site-wide sales, free shipping thresholds and automatic discounts can be listed as deals. Send the offer, conditions and dates the same way you would for a code.

What do shoppers see about how codes work?

We publish plain-English guides for shoppers, including how promo codes work, which covers minimum spends, exclusions and why some codes fail. It helps set expectations before they reach your checkout.
